Jessica, Office Manager
Hi! I’m Jessica, the office manager at Scholes Perio. I’ve been in the dental field for 14 years in both the back and front office. I grew up in some tiny towns in Colorado before moving to Arizona, so I’ve been able to find love for both the mountains and the desert. I love to hike with my with my nine-year-old daughter and we’re constantly looking for new trails to conquer. When I’m not at work I love practicing yoga, pretending to be a runner, cooking and being home with the ones I love, including my cat-child Nelson Katnip Bravery Sushi, who my nine-year-old clearly (and may I note with much creativity) named.
I love working at Scholes Perio because of the people, both coworkers and patients alike. I enjoy learning and growing from the experiences of working with different personalities and I especially love connecting with our wonderful patients. I’ve learned that every person has a story worth telling and I’m determined to try my best hear them all, if they’ll let me. I value the integrity of Dr. Scholes and Janie the most, out of all of their qualities. I whole heartedly believe that being truthful and doing the right thing for the right reason, every time, leads to true success and serves every single patient in the way they deserve. I look forward to meeting you!
April, Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello, my name is April! I was born in Mesa, AZ, but then moved to Texas. I have been practicing dental hygiene since 1993 when I graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. You will often find me horseback riding with my family and participating in horsemanship events. My family and I enjoy camping, hiking, and the outdoors.
I have worked in Periodontics for most of my career. In fact, I have been working with Dr. Scholes since 1999. I have truly felt at home at this incredible practice. I strive to treat my patients with the gentleness of a friend. One of the best parts of being on this team is the happy and uplifting atmosphere we share. All of us really treasure our patients and the trust they instill in us.
Sara, Registered Dental Hygienist
An Arizona native, I grew up in the small town of Coolidge, AZ. I graduated from ASU and then completed Dental Hygiene School at Rio Salado College in 2013. I enjoy spending time with my family and all the outdoors have to offer, including hiking, bike riding, and kayaking. And most of all, I love walking my Boxers, Roxy and Miles!
I have been with Scholes Perio since 2003, including the time I spent as Dr. Scholes’ Surgical Assistant. What started as a job has become a career filled with working alongside friends who feel like my extended family. My favorite part of being a dental hygienist is getting to know my patients and helping them improve their oral health. Every day is a new challenge and full of rewards!
Yasmeen, Hygiene Coordinator
Hello! My name is Yasmeen. It’s okay if you have a hard time pronouncing it, you can call me Yas! I am the youngest of 6 children. My family and I are from the small town of Delta, Colorado. We headed south when I was five, landing in the gorgeous state of Arizona. I enjoy going for runs and outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my little children, a.k.a. my adorable nieces and nephews.
My professional career began after completing phlebotomy school. I enjoyed two years of working in that field. Finding my true passion to help people and working in the medical field, I transitioned to Scholes Perio. With all honesty, I began my job here disliking the mere thought of mouths, but overtime I’ve learned that they aren’t so bad! My role as hygiene coordinator has challenged me in all the best ways. The Scholes Perio Team is incredible; I’m so happy to be a part of the family.

Lisa, Surgical Assistant
I was born in Racine, Wisconsin but grew up in many different states. I recently moved to Chandler, AZ from Redding, CA. I graduated from High School in ’10 and attended Shastar Trinity Dental assisting school. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my adorable daughter Aria. Spending time with my family is very important to me! I thoroughly enjoy the great outdoors and you can often find me hiking, swimming, and kayaking.
I have been a dental assistant for over 9 years, but recently switched to the periodontal field. I absolutely love working as a surgical assistant, especially a periodontal surgical assistant. My goal is to help save patient’s teeth and to instill self esteem in their smile. Dr. Scholes and his team are amazing and I am so glad to be a part of it.
Sharon, Surgical Assistant
I was raised on a cattle farm in Alberta, Canada. The closest town, which was 8 miles away, has a population of about 500. This is extremely small compared to our huge cactus state! I love travelling back to Canada to visit family and friends. My happiest moments are spent exploring the outdoors while hiking various trails around the valley. I especially love the beauty of hiking Havasupai Falls and the Grand Canyon.
I started my dental career in general dentistry and then transitioned into periodontics. I love being on this journey with our patients to a healthier smile! I’m very blessed to have joined this amazing team at Scholes Perio.
Heather, Patient Coordinator/Marketing Assistant
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I moved to Arizona in 2006 after visiting my family and falling in love with the warm weather and meeting my incredible husband, Toby. I enjoy spending time with my three handsome fur babies Geno, Rocco, and Jax. I also enjoy outdoor activities, laying by the pool, hiking, and traveling. I’m always excited to adventure beyond my comfort zone!
I have worked in the dental field for 11 years and enjoy the one-on-one connection with patients and building new relationships. I enjoy working with Dr. Scholes and our team because of the outstanding patient care that is provided, as well as the family-oriented atmosphere in the office. I take great pride in being able to help patients improve their smiles and overall health.
