We also give back to our community in many meaningful ways." April, Registered Dental HygienistHello, my name is April! I was born in Mesa, AZ, but then moved to Texas. I have been practicing dental hygiene since 1993 when I graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. You will often find me horseback riding with my family and participating in horsemanship events. My family and I enjoy camping, hiking, and the outdoors. I have worked in Periodontics for most of my career. In fact, I have been working with Dr. Scholes since 1999. I have truly felt at home at this incredible practice. I strive to treat my patients with the gentleness of a friend. One of the best parts of being on this team is the happy and uplifting atmosphere we share. All of us really treasure our patients and the trust they instill in us. Sara, Registered Dental HygienistAn Arizona native, I grew up in the small town of Coolidge, AZ. I graduated from ASU and then completed Dental Hygiene School at Rio Salado College in 2013. I have been with Scholes Perio since 2003, including the time I spent as Dr. Scholes’ Surgical Assistant. What started as a job has become a career filled with working alongside friends who feel like my extended family. My favorite part of being a dental hygienist is getting to know my patients and helping them improve their oral health. Every day is a new challenge and full of rewards! Tillie, Lead Surgical AssistantMy name is Tillie! My family consists of two boys Gabriel and Timothy. My hobbies include playing softball, being a mom, and having a good time on the weekends with my friends and family. I have been a dental assistant for 20 years, and have worked with Dr. Scholes for over a decade. I have a nickname around the office as the go-to girl! I believe in providing a friendly atmosphere. My coworkers are awesome, always being incredibly kind and caring to our patients. I am devoted and believe in this practice. Lisa, Treatment CoordinatorI was born in Racine, Wisconsin but grew up in many different states. I recently moved to Chandler, AZ from Redding, CA. I graduated from High School in ’10 and attended Shastar Trinity Dental assisting school. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my adorable daughter Aria. Spending time with my family is very important to me! I thoroughly enjoy the great outdoors and you can often find me hiking, swimming, and kayaking. I have been a dental assistant for over 9 years, but recently switched to the periodontal field. I absolutely love working as a surgical assistant, especially a periodontal surgical assistant. My goal is to help save patient’s teeth and to instill self esteem in their smile. Dr. Scholes and his team are amazing and I am so glad to be a part of it. Heather, Operations ManagerI was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I moved to Arizona in 2006 after visiting my family and falling in love with the warm weather and meeting my incredible husband, Toby. I enjoy spending time with my three handsome fur babies Geno, Rocco, and Jax. I also enjoy outdoor activities, laying by the pool, hiking, and traveling. I’m always excited to adventure beyond my comfort zone! I have worked in the dental field for 11 years and enjoy the one-on-one connection with patients and building new relationships. I enjoy working with Dr. Scholes and our team because of the outstanding patient care that is provided, as well as the family-oriented atmosphere in the office. I take great pride in being able to help patients improve their smiles and overall health. Sharla, Patient CoordinatorHi! I am Sharla Price. I recently joined the fabulous Scholes Perio team "family." I call it a family because I immediately felt welcomed by the love and positive energy of our office. I am a mother of seven children and grandmother to two adorable grandchildren. I had the privilege of being a stay at home mother for many years. I thoroughly enjoy doing activities with my family including traveling and playing games. And we are passionate about watching our kids play sports. When my children grew up, I decided to return to school to earn my Bachelor's Degree. After earning my degree, I chose to join the workforce. Working with our periodontal patients, I found that I have a knack for making them feel welcomed here. The compassionate attitude of both dental hygienists (April is my big sis), Dr. Scholes, and the whole team at Scholes Perio proves to me that our patients are in the best hands. Mindy, Patient Coordinator/Marketing AssistantI was born and raised in the small town of Richfield, Utah where my family owned and operated a dairy farm and processing plant. I learned the value of hard work at a very early age. After I graduated from Utah Valley University, I met and fell in love with an Arizona boy. We were married and raised our four children in this area since 1994. I spent most of my life being a mom to Riley, Kade, Bree and Cole. For years, I worked part time in Marketing for Scholes Periodontics and Implants. Then in May 2020, I joined the team in the front office as a Patient Coordinator. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by this wonderful, positive, caring group of professionals. Noelle Gonzalez, Hygiene CordinatorI grew up in Queen Creek, Arizona. I was born and raised in Arizona and have learned to love the heat. I come from a loving home with two amazing parents and am the third out of four kids. Thankfully, I have a huge family and was introduced to Scholes Periodontics by my cousin, Tillie. She has worked here since before I was even born. I enjoy working here as a Hygiene Coordinator because it feels good to help others and it keeps me on my feet. I have learned a lot about periodontal disease and the effects it has on different people. My favorite part about my job is being around my coworkers. I really appreciate everyone and feel comfortable being myself here. Outside of work, I am a student at ASU and enjoy spending time with my loved ones when I can. |
